A new entry to my blog has been delayed for about a week now. It is not that I have nothing to write, but because I was unable to do so due to reasons beyond my control.
For nearly a week, I was down with fever, as usual, I am one who self medicates as an easy way out. So it all started with fever, running nose and cough, my magic pills aka the super panadol normally will be better than any known surgeon. However, this time round, magic pills failed in the attempt to cure, I started to experience difficulty breathing in the night, thus hampering me from having 7 hours sleep. Things went uphill from there on, so, ok, to the hospital I must go.
On Wednesday evening, accompanied by my two angels, we went to Damansara Specialist at the A&E. Hemm, not many patience, this means short waiting time, they started with the routine of checking my blood pressure and temperature, then off to the doctor’s room. I didn’t like what I saw; I mean the doctor, what the heck with these people huh??!!! They wear no smiles, no hello or welcome, no nothing, they are so moronic, and yet they call themselves DOCTOR!!!!!
First question, what’s wrong with you??? Hello, I am the patience here, you tell me what’s wrong, isn’t that your work? Well, ok, so I have to tell this frumpy looking, fat, white haired, non smiling woman, who peeped at me and the girls from a glass that hardly sits on her nose. After like a total of 8 minutes checking, I was sent, accompanied by a very sweet kind nurse, to have my blood taken and also to take a first dose of the nebulizer (I hope I got that spelling right).
Was given like 6 kinds of medication to take, and off to home sweet home. So, you think I got better right? Wrong, I got worst, went for a second nebulizer and before the third one, I decided that I want to see the doctor again. This time round, it was a male doctor, kind of nice, tells you what’s wrong with you. And it turns out that I don’t need to take the nebulizer, what the heck???? He told me to continue with the medication though, but on top of that added another one, which he claimed will dry up my nose. Ok, trust you.
I took the medication while I was driving, can’t remember where we were going, but it was to KL from Damansara, on the way home, suddenly I saw stars, the weather was super hot then, it is kind of a mirage on the windshield, I asked my soon to be (InsyaAllah) doctor daughter, did you see a mirage like thingy on the glass?, answer no!, as I go on driving the vision was getting bad, I had to put on my hazard lights and stop by the road side in Damansara Heights. It was scary, damn it. She took the new medication box, read the leaflet inside, and discovered that there is a side effect to this medication, which was not preempted by the doctor. Idiot, again, why are you a doctor huh???
Enough is enough, arrived home, I decided to take things into my own hands, after all, I have seen too many documentaries, to know that what the doctor prescribes is not always the answer to your problems. I did what I was told since my younger age, minum air kelapa muda, honestly, that’s what I did and I stopped all the medication totally. Thank God, I feel a lot better, not totally up to my original state but much much better now.
