Happy 61st Anniversary

My parents was celebrated yesterday (May 28, 2010), and I can only wish them all the happiness that the world has to offer. This is something for you Abah and Emak and I love you both so much:

Remember the first flush of love
that drew you powerfully together?
It still feeds the unassailable bond
that makes your marriage so secure.
Remember all the qualities about each other
you found so endearing?
They are still there,
and new ones create sweet surprises.
Remember thinking that this love
would last forever?
Your love has strengthened and grown
into eternal affection and admiration.
Years from now, you'll look back
at this anniversary
and realize you love each other
more than ever.
May you always be warmed by each other's smile,
Always take time to walk and talk a while,
Always know deep down you're each other's best friend,
And enjoy the kind of love that grows and knows no end.
Wishing you Abah and Emak an 'always' kind of love!

Happy 61st Anniversary

The Sign Of A Sick Mind

The sign of a sick mind, when you live on tax payer’s money and you have nothing to do all day long besides smoking pot and drinking booze, you really cannot appreciate how hard these people work to support your wasted life.

Not enough, you also have to ruin public amenities, shame on you. It would have been better if you could just stop breathing and stop the wastage of carbon.

By The River

By the river, we relax and have fun, blowing Dandelion and watching baby fishes swimming by, while the sun shine on.

Schnappi, Tokma wishes you are here……………………….

It's Your Day

On his birthday, we each bought him little gifts to show him, how much he is appreciated. Chef Diva bake cup cakes for him, and we took him out for dinner at a Greek restaurant, so that on his day, he could enjoy what is close to his palate.

Happy Birthday again Snaily.

Happy Birthday Snaily

I draw a circle, not a heart, around you
My husband, the one I love
Because a heart can break
But a circle goes on forever.
Happiness is being married to my best friend

Happy Birthday Snaily
May the Lord keep you safe always

and

I want you to know that
Everything I've longed for
You've made my dreams come true
But the greatest gift of all
Is being loved by you

A Piece of Art

Took the girls out yesterday evening, the sun was up till quite late now, though the sudden showers still demand us to have some warm clothing. After dinner, we decided to walk and one of our stop over was at this piece of art by Subodh Gupta. This piece of art is on a temporary installation which was open here on April 27, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. and will be on display until October 31, 2010

A little excerpt of Gupta from Wikipedia

"Subodh Gupta is best known for incorporating everyday objects that are ubiquitous throughout India, such as steel tiffin boxes used by millions to carry their lunch as well as thali pans, bicycles, and milk pails. From such ordinary items the artist produces sculptures that reflect on the economic transformation of his homeland and they are related to Gupta's own life and memories. As Gupta says: "All these things were part of the way I grew up. They are used in the rituals and ceremonies that were part of my childhood. Indians either remember them from their youth, or they want to remember them." And: "I am the idol thief. I steal from the drama of Hindu life. And from the kitchen - these pots, they are like stolen gods, smuggled out of the country. Hindu kitchens are as important as prayer rooms".

Gupta transforms the icons of Indian everyday life into artworks that are readable globally. He is among a generation of young Indian artists whose commentary tells of a country on the move, fuelled by boiling economic growth and a more materialistic mindset. Gupta's strategy of appropriating everyday objects and turning them into artworks that dissolve their former meaning and function brings him close to artists like Duchamp; The Guardian called him "the Damien Hirst of Delhi" (2007). He succeeds in finding an art language that references India and at the same time can be appreciated for their looks and aesthetics in the whole world; as Gupta says: "Art language is the same all over the world. Which allows me to be anywhere."

In his new works that Subodh Gupta is presenting at Hauser & Wirth in October 2009, the artist moves away from composite sculptures toward objects that possess an auratic quality. Ready-made commodities experience transformations in scale and material. Relations to European art history are now to be found. Among the new works is a three-dimensional reworking in bronze of Duchamp's mustachioed Mona Lisa "L.H.O.O.Q." (1919)."

My New Toy

This is my new toy, hubby got it for me. We finally found something that I like and in the color that I like. It kind of compliments all the door panels in the house (lol).

I love my new toy, I hope it will benefit me the way I want it to.

Please Don't Bother

If I have deleted you from my mailing list, please do not even bother to add me again, because as you can see your message means nothing to me and I am sure not looking forward to hearing from you at all again.

I want a simple and easy life, complicated people like you, who were born with half a brain, and love to be judgmental, while making lies your living norm are pure rubbish to me, therefore I am burning the rubbish and severing the ties.

Good riddance.

It's Complicated

Too often I see these words “In a relationship, and it’s complicated”, wait a minute, do you people even give yourself a thought before planting these words anywhere and everywhere? Or are you just blind foolish followers who enjoy copying and pasting without even a clue to the meaning of the words?

If you recon that relationship is complicated why bother going into one, why even open your heart to a relationship, don’t you think staying single and be by yourself is less complicated and, therefore, you don’t have to copy paste such wordings, and people wonder what’s up with you….. honestly!!!!

Life in its own is complicated, people are complicated, the world is complicated, why label a relationship complicated. A relationship is entirely your own, you make it work or you don’t make it work. It can only be complicated if you want to make it complicated, if you cannot compromise to a certain situation, if you are too selfish in recognizing that in any relationship there are more than one person involved. However, if you take everything at face value and work hard to make it work nothing is complicated. The world can be against you, but you are holding the compass to your relationship. In short do not let anyone influence you in your relationship, keep your mouth shut, and never ever hang your dirty laundry in the open, that way you will see that a relationship is a wonderful thing, as no one but you is in control.

So next time if you want to say that you are in a relationship and it is complicated, think again, have some dignity and realized that when you do this, it can only mean that you are inviting the world to come and laugh at you, and to scorn your decision on a relationship.

Be tactful and keep your secrets in the closet.

Worst Airports

Worst airport ever in my opinion besides Dubai and Doha airports will be Frankfurt for anyone to be stranded on long hours of transit. While at Dubai and Doha airports you will have to tip toe your way around the airport as thousands of people will be literally sleeping on the carpeted floors while waiting for their flights, and yes toilets are filthy.

Please do not expect to have much choice of food also there as most of the horrible restaurants will be filled up with people who could not find space on the ever filled floor to sleep. They will be swarming the restaurant, eating, littering, talking loudly and simply taking up space till their flying time.

Meanwhile at Frankfurt airport, it is as though you are being sent back to a different time zone, everything is so ancient, and staff there travel on bicycles in between thousands of people who are making their way from the international to the domestic terminal. The distance between the two terminals was quite far, and it is not a joke if you have one flight delay and you have to run to catch the next one.

What can be more excruciating was seeing most of the gates being man by a single person. Welcome to Frankfurt, I hope I do not have to pass this way again.
