Dog oh Dog

Often I wonder, what goes on in these peoples’ minds? They sure need constant reminder that a dog is not a child, a decorative item, a lover, your best mate etc etc, however we often see the obsessive attachment to them. Observing them, I can’t help myself but laugh. Can it be that they are so lonely and have no one else to turn to but a dog?

Ok, so they are dog lovers, fine, no one can argue about that, however, it is not only the dog that become a bother, more so I will start cursing the owner. You went to restaurant, to enjoy the fine dining, the ambience of the spring or summer, then out of nowhere you see a dog sniffing at you and the edge of your table. What the heck? Are you nuts? Don’t you know the etiquette of a restaurant? Then when you give the owner the stare, he/she just wave at you, like ok, so what’s the big deal?

Then, there are some days that you decided to go for a walk in the evening, not only you have to be vary of the many dogs on the street, but mind you the dog poop too. Some `blind’ idiots will accidently or intentionally stepped on them and extend the litter further on the road, and me, I will tip toe my way to escape these, let alone having to hold my breath to avoid the smell. So, you said you love them dogs, pick up for heaven sake after them. Why cause such inconvenience to others?

There were times, when I saw dogs that look so sick and unhappy, you can actually tell from looking at their eyes, and the fur. How can I describe the fur? Ok, when it is supposed to be white, but has turned brown instead, and they have these knots of balls at the tip of the fur, or when the fur is black, it actually looked white because of the flakes from the skin (meaning the dogs has not been showered for ages, e.g you see people with dandruff on their hair and yellow around their collar – too much exaggerating right, but I swear it’s true).

Not everyone in the world is a dog lover, and as it happens I’m one of these people. When you go to a park or whatever, you go there to enjoy the space and fresh air. It gets so irritating to suddenly have these barking dogs sound. Please you dog owner, I don’t think that’s nice and you should get them control and out of my face please!

I like looking at beautiful healthy dogs, but they should be kept in their own kernel, walk them every once in a while to exercise them, feed them well, take them to the vet for routine checks and de worming. Restaurant is definitely not for them, trains are not for them, public garden especially where kids are running around also not for them, because these dogs get all excited and start barking or chasing after the kids, car ok if it’s your own.

Anyways, the Chinese believe that …….. People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people’s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. *Wink, wink* that’s me.
