Chef Diva's Mousaka

On Saturdays sometimes Chef Diva will take over the kitchen, and we will all be happy to try out her inventions. Last week her hot kitchen Chef taught her a new dish called Mousaka (this is a Mediterranean Dish), she has been telling us that she would like to cook this for us, and she did.

I had my first taste of Mousaka when I was in Casablanca, I liked it then, but it is a tedious dish to make. However, Chef Diva takes it all in own strike and cooked the dish by herself. It was marvelous and lip smacking.

The ingredients for Mousaka : minced meat, aubergine, zucchini, potatoes, canned tomatoes, tomatoes, cheese, flour, butter, milk, salt and pepper.

Methods: you can either fry the potatoes, aubergine and zucchini, but in our case, Chef Diva boiled the potatoes, roasted both the aubergine and zucchini. Make bolognaise sauce with the minced meat, and also make the white sauce.

Assemble the entire ingredients one layer on top of each other and finish with white sauce and cheese. Bake the dish for 30 to 40 minutes, and serve it warm.
