For Anne

Anne has survived Cancer for more than 4 years now; she was first diagnosed with Lymphoma but later confirmed as stage 3 Leukemia. She fought this battle like a real champ, doing what was demanded of her and strengthening her independence so she can fight this battle without moaning and whining.

Of late the telltale signs of a battle defeated has surfaced, however, not one to bow down to be defeated easily she agreed to undergo more transplants, more biopsy, more chemo and more experiment on new drugs recommended.

Through all these she is still attending university and is adamant to get her second degree. Due to the effect of chemo she will have some memory lapse, but she is not giving up, her husband helped her by doing flash cards for her so that she can be ready for all her semesters’ examination. Such determination, she even drives on her own more than 600 kilometers to go for her treatment two times a month. My respect just goes to Ann.

What more can I say or write about this gutsy lady, nothing……………….. she has it all, a real hero, a real champ, a real fighter and a winner in her own rights. My prayers are with you Anne, may you have more peace in your tiring moment.

Let me hold you in my thoughts a second longer.
