We Are Seven

When we first met little that did we know that we will be already celebrating seven years together and still counting. It was just mere friendship in the beginning, nothing was to be said, as we both know that friends do not have any significant role in our life.

We were both busy with our own life then, me a single mother of four, working my butt off just to give a meaning of quality life to my kids, while he was the young single man enjoying life in its many splendors. What started as a first hello, and some exchange of emails, continued to more regular emails, meeting whenever we can and phone calls.

After a while it seemed strange if we do not report to each other our day to day happenings, it became stranger if we forgot to email or call. Later we started to ignore all other friends and were just hurrying home to be in front of our computers so that we can have longer conversations, we realized that damn…………. We are actually missing each other.

What follows afterward was history, today we are here still together when the world only gave us one year before we dump each other, so far……………….. he he he we proved them wrong.

I cannot thank him more than words can express, he accepted me as I am with the trailer of kids and all. He was never judgmental of me, we don’t have much money to travel the world or to get us what we always wanted, but we have us, and we made a promise to always put the kids’ interests before us.

We dream one day to have a small house with a little garden, at the moment this is still far fetched as we have more pressing commitments, but hey, who’s complaining? We thank the Lord for each snuggling moment that we have, and all the laughter that could almost make us silly always.

Thank you honey for a blissful seven years together.
