Two nights back I dreamt of my late grandma (we all called her ‘TokMak’). I noticed that whenever I am down and sad I would dream of her. Weird as it may sound, we were never close when she was alive, basically because she is a very fierce grandma. I was sent to live with her for a couple of my younger years, and I remember that it was to her house that I will run away when I am not happy at my parents’ home.
It does not matter how long I will stay at her place each time I run away from home (our houses are not even that far from each other anyways), but sitting on her verandah amongst the greens of her garden was peaceful enough. Normally, by nightfall I will be walking back to my parents’ home.
I have a feeling that my grandma will come in my dream each time I need a place to hide or to run to. In total I had three of such dreams with my grandma, the latest dream I saw her watching me in turmoil, she was just sitting at the edge of the verandah and looking at me. It was so serene, because in this dream I could clearly see that it was my grandma as though she is still alive.
The way she sits and folds her leg with one arm clutching it, deep in thought but looking and not a single word was uttered. When I could not do anything anymore and just wanted a comforting hug, I went straight to her, and she just opened her arms to me and caressed my head. It was tranquil, it was so nice, it was just so unreal, the feeling of her hands. She never did this to me when she was alive but now, I love that feeling that she made me feel.
When she was alive her nickname for me was ‘hangus’ but towards the time nearing her demise she started to call me by my name, and it sounded so strange to me. ‘I love the nickname of ‘hangus’ TokMak'.
I know you are at peace there, I know you are looking upon all of your grandchildren, I love you Tokmak though you may not know that, but I do.
Please come to my dream as often as you can.

River Cruise
Every weekend hubby will make plans for us. This is because he said he wants to give me all the quality time that we needed (okies), and this weekend was no different.
On Saturday, we planned to go to Metro, but we ended up in the New Danube and later being caught in a furious hail storm. It was adventurous though (smile).
On Sunday, we changed to our swimming attire and packed our bag to go to Therme Wien. We were all so geared up in contemplation, me wanting to go for the acupuncture and he wanting to swim for hours. Guess where we finally went to? Right!!! Not Therme Wien at all. We ended up on the river cruise.
It was so impromptu and how we ended there was amazing, but the river cruise was worth every single penny that we paid for. We were most taken in by the experience of the hydroelectric dam in the river canal. It was a spectacular experience for me especially, as it took me back to my days at Bakun.
Hubby now plans for another river cruise to ………..? Let’s see where we will end up next?
Thank you honey, it was a very nice experience.

Football And Hooligans
When Austria met Germany, hooligans were unleashed. Some were taken away in Police trucks, while some were attended to by paramedics. The rest of the spectators were left waiting in the rain for the big screen to be turned on.
However, in the end the Police decided that the public safety is of priority thus the big screen was never on from the beginning to the end of the game.
Football and hooligans – can they ever be separated?

Hang On little Darling
My little angel is sick and what is more upsetting is that I knew about her situation even before I was informed by the house mom. She was sick for nearly two days with high fever and bad stomach, and was still made to go to classes. How is it that not a single soul who is supposedly caring for her not notice this?
Yesterday, I told her to take the magic pill and go straight to bed, and that I will be waking her up at around 2 am her time to take another magic pill so that her fever will be in control. It is so sad to be monitoring her situation remotely.
This morning in my inbox I finally got a message from the house mom informing me that she is now in the infirmary and have to miss the Friday school, and that she is being taken care of by a certain someone. The message also informed me that she is being fed with sushi and apple juice. Arrr ……………… wait a minute, did I read that right sushi? When she is having a bad stomach and a fever? What can I comment more? I realize that like many boarding schools, this is just another money making machine.
Many would think that I am over reacting over nothing, but as her mother, I know when she gets sick, she gets really sick and it will last for at least a week. I will not be able to chat with her today or may be tomorrow too as she is being kept in the infirmary and will only return to the cottage when she is considered well.
Hang on there little darling, we will be together soon. I love and miss you so much.
