Polka Dots The Theme

We always come up with impromptu ideas just to be together and have some fun.  Today we decided that all the ladies should be dressed in Polka dots.  We had BBQ, lots of menacing, advising, looking back at time and pondering the departing moment.  But, one thing we never forget to do is to hold the memories in our hears forever.

Spring Garden

Some friends took me to buy flowers and herbs to be planted in their gardens.  I don't have a garden but it was very nice to see all the beautiful flowers.  It is a tradition here that new plants and flowers are planted to welcome spring, summer as well as autumn.  Many things I learned after being here almost 8 years now.  I love spring..

Friday's Recital

Last Friday, we had our Al Quran recital and memorization at Pah's.  She was such a darling to surprise us with this delicious 'mee rebus'.  I don't remember when I last had 'mee rebus' but I was sure not shy to have a second helping. Thank you sister, Alhamdulillah

I Was Celebrated - Pt. 3

Finally, I had some dear friends in the house for a small lunch do.  This was exactly on the registered date of my legal papers.  It was small, simple and lovely, and of course my thoughtful little angel too make it meaningful to be alive.  Thank you Allah.

 Friends gave me this expensive piece of silverware, it is not the price really but knowing what I appreciate.  Therefore, this gift has since been recycled and given to another friend..... Sorry but I really don't feel it.

I Was Celebrated - Pt. 2

Yes, they called in the pretext that there were something urgent to be discussed.  I was pretty busy that day as I had other choirs to run.  They refused to accept an excuse, so I got to the destination as requested but late.  Guess what?  another celebration waiting.  Thank you so much my dearest friends. Alhamdulillah

I Was Celebrated - Pt. 1

They have been very curious, wanting to know when's my birthday.  I told them the truth everyday is my birthday because honestly I don't really know when I was born.  Registered on my legal document was in the month of May, somehow they got to know that, but no specific date, so here you go ........ being celebrated by the wonderful sisters.  Love them all though I'm not use to this kind of things anymore.  I prefer to keep it quite but Alhamdulillah.

A Day AT The Zoo - Love Being Tokma

 We love the sun though today it was quite chilly

 Trying to explain to Jonas why some Flamingos stand on one feet

He said, "Tokma, you sit and I will pull"............ Oh Jonas, love you so much.

A Day At The Zoo - Sea Lions

They are carnivores and they are opportunistic feeders and have diet primarily consisting of fish including; squid, herring, mackerel, and sardines. Although they have conical shaped teeth, including four canine teeth, they swallow their fish whole. Their teeth are primarily used for catching prey only.  They live for a maximum of 35 years.

A Day At The Zoo - Penguins

Did you know that when a male penguin falls in love with a female penguin, he searches the entire beach to find the perfect pebble to present her.  When he finally finds it, he waddles over to her and places the pebble right in front of her, just like a proposal.  Beautiful..............
