May Not Be 5 Star Rated

From the moment of our first hug, she told me that she was hungry. Yes, hungry for mom’s cooking, hungry for a warm home, hungry for all the love that was missing and most of all hungry for quality food.

Since then I have been complying to give her what she has been missing. I realized from our conversation that what was signed on the dotted line of a home away from home in a dormitory living was just pure story telling.

I have no regrets sending her to a boarding school, but I regret broken promises. Today we had steak, colorful salads and brown bread. Everyone was happy, the food may not be 5 star rated but we have loads of laughter while indulging in it.
