Homemade Beef Burger

It was beef burger dinner for us last Friday.

I realized that I still have about half kg of minced beef in the freezer, and it has been sometime since I have homemade burger. The results were fantastic and it turn out that everyone loves it, so that can only mean that there will be more burger nights for us.

12 pieces of Jacobs light and crispy cream crackers
 crushed to breadcrumbs
minced beef, please note that you should not use minced beef that has got too much fat.  This will caused the burger to shrink a lot when you fry them later
finely chopped spring onion, approximately one cup
 one egg
 salt and pepper to taste
in a large bowl put together all the above ingredients
with a clean hand, mixed them well and let it stay for half an hour, cover with plastic wrap in the fridge
make the burger to any desirable size.  For 1/2 a kg of minced beef I managed to get 6 pieces of beef burgers.  We had three last Friday, one for each.
and the balance 3 pieces were nicely wrapped in plastic wrap and into the freezer for future consumption
heat a flat pan on medium high, add 2 tablespoon of butter and add the burger pieces.  For the first 4 minutes let the pan remain at medium heat, after that lower the temperature and let the burger cook nicely.  This is so that you will maintain the moisture in the burger.

the buns, which I put on the hot pan once I took the burger out
hubby likes his burger with tomato only and without cheese
while my little angel and me had ours with tomato and cheese
this is how his beef burger looks like when served
and this is ours.
The beef burgers were so tasty that we did not even use any ketcup or mustard sauce with it
