Sunday MRI

With a heavy heart, I left the house yesterday accompanied by hubby. I don’t want to leave my little angel alone, especially when she was still sleeping. The change of event that took place on April 13th, 2012 had left me a paranoid mother. What worse was that I have been holding back tears, putting up a strong front, still trying to organize things, while the question of “what could I have missed?” keep haunting me.

However, like many other episodes with the kids I have no choice but to leave and do what was required of me to do. I kissed her sleepy cheeks, avoiding the smelly morning breathe and left.

Another day of MRI, I hope my state of mind now will not influence the results of the MRI.
At the front office registration, looking for my insurance card

At the lobby of the blue area, completing the Q&A
 Putting my signature to it
What's in my card holder too
Was that an empty purse?

Power Puff Face

This is my power puff steroid inflicted face…………… ha ha ha, look at my under eyelids. They are all so puffy, soon I guess my face will look like a fish bowl, but I am happy, so it does not matter. I joke about everything that is bothering my health.

To me it is better that way than to be frightened by it. By the way if you see me next and saw me lighting up like a Christmas tree, this can only be because of the so, so, so many times that I have been exposed to MRI, X-Rays and CT scan.

Bring it on………………….

P/s: Hubby trying to protect me from the rain, I thought this happens only in India.

Scones

Saturday, I decided to make scones. We finished them all and I might go for another round of scones day on Monday, but then again it depends on my mood.
2 cups of all-purpose flour, 8 tablespoon of frozen butter
use rub in method and mixture should resemble coarse meal
add in 1/2 cup of raisin and 1/3 cup of sugar (I used raw brown sugar)

whisk together 1 egg and 1/2 cup of sour cream until smooth
make a well in the middle of the flour mix and add the egg and sour cream mixture using a fork
use your hand to press the dough again the bowl into a ball, do not over kneed the dough.  Dough will be sticky at this moment, but that is ok
place dough on a lightly floured table top
kneed dough slowly
pat dough to approximately 8-9 inch circle and about 1/2 inch thick.
use a round cookie cutter and cut through dough, place on baking tray with cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 200 degree C for 15 to 20 minutes
let the scones rest for 5 minutes before serving
Nice...........................
