Pervert On Board

The boarding gate opened early. As soon as the announcement was made, everyone was rushing like mad, and it does not matter if they were parents with children or business class passenger. I was, like, ok people, you have your seat number already right? So, why the rush? They are behaving like as though, it was their first time travelling. As usual, I will take my own sweet time to board and does not mind being the last pun.

Finally, I was on the plane, and yeah, my seat, MY SEAT; someone’s sleeping on my seat. Ahh…., maybe I got the wrong seat, take your time (my mind was telling me), and look again. Confirmed IT IS MY SEAT!!!!!! And that guy who looks very much like the most wanted person on earth, with an elephant butt face, as fat as a hippo, unruly looking beard that cover half his chest and a top hat (tarbus) on his head was snoring in MY SEAT. Slowly, I said `excuse me, you are sitting on my seat’ and he (while rubbing his eyes, and licking his tongue --- gruesome, I bet he was drooling already), got up and, OMG he’s huge, and he is a picture of mutawa (meaning the religious wannabe, as he is also wearing this Arabic attire whose length comes in between his foot and knee). Gosh….. Good luck to me! I demanded a change of pillow as well as the blanket.

Settled in, however, I have to plaster myself against the wall of the plane, as this idiot is so huge and he took half of my seat as well, you wonder how? His left arm was as big as my thigh or may be bigger, and he just conveniently put all of that chunk of meat on the arm rest between us, do I have a choice?

It is my habit that before the flight took off, I will be sleeping already, so same goes tonight. Don’t know how long I was sleeping, suddenly I felt some hands rubbing and squeezing my thigh. I must be dreaming, so I was like, ok because I really can’t open my eyes, then the rubbing and squeezing become more obvious, I jumped out of seat and shouted at him, to my horror, he had the blanket covered his hands that was rubbing and squeezing me. Bloody pervert, being an ardent traveler, I don’t want to make anyone’s life miserable, so I took it that his hand was sleep walking.

I took my cupido and put her on my chest, just in case the hand sleep walking gets more adventurous, and within seconds I was asleep again. However, not long after, I felt that someone was sleeping on my shoulder, and breathing so heavily and it was that fucking pervert again. I got up, shouted at him, push him aside and warn him that I can get him into a lot of trouble if he does not behave. I doubt if he even understand anything that I said. I can’t change my seat, as the flight that night was overbooked.

After nearly an hour of reading, I slept again, still plastered to the wall of the plane, and cupido covering my chest. The stewardess woke me up for breakfast (which was horrible, the scramble eggs was so salty and the onion rings so soggy). The pervert was eating like a retard, and yeah, you right, if he can eat the plates and the cups, he would have done so too. Honest to God, he is the most disgusting traveler that I have ever come across.

Once landed, I just can’t wait to get down, can’t wait to run away from him, not only he is fat, ugly, pervert, he smells baddddddd. I was so tempted to take his picture, but he was watching me like a radar, so takut pulak, but Alhamdulillah, I arrived at the first destination safe. Point to ponder: when our luggage is overweight we will have to pay for it but when fat asshole board the plane and took 1 ½ seat, do they pay extra?

Crocs to the rescue

My bags are packed, I’m ready to go, or so I thought, until the ever concerned gentle angel saw me dragging my luggage bag out of the room. She was like, `wow ma, are you sure you can carry this bag, it is super heavy? and I’m sure you are going to be overweight. At that point of time, I decided to weight the bag, but how? We only have weighing scale in the house and for sure we can’t weight the bag. Then, she did the smart thing. She took the weighing scale, weight herself (A), then came down, took the bag and went on the scale together again (B) ----- smart right? B-A = mama’s bag is overweight by approximately 10kgs. Instead of taking the chances, I decided to take out a couple of things from the bag, so as to be on the safe side.

Since the whole journey will take me more than 18 hours, I decided to put on an old pair of shoes, which I have kept in a box untouched for almost 2 years now, at the same time, I also had my crocs scutes packed in my hand luggage (for whatever reason, I don’t know). Off to the airport we went at 0100 hours, since abang was driving, we of course reached the airport early. Checking in was fast, my seat number has been booked prior, bag was slightly overweight, checked through to my final destination, with two boarding pass in my hand, I told the kids to go back, since abang has to work. Hugs and kisses, more hugs and kisses and pesanan, after pesanan, they left.

Passed the passport control, everything was fast as the airport was deserted, ahhh…. The airport is always deserted. Suddenly, I felt that the right side of my heal gave way, stop, look and for a second I could not believe what I saw, the whole rubber sole was gone. Nasib dah subuh, and tak de orang except for the immigration people, so dengan selambanya, I picked up the broken heal and confidently walked on. As soon as I arrived at the train, the other heal gave way too. I started laughing to myself, again, I picked up the other heal and now walked more comfortably. However, I noticed that wherever I walked, a trail of rubber pieces will be left. Lucky me, I have the croc scutes in my hand luggage, so I took off, the oh so old yet loyal shoe, say my goodbye and thanking it for serving me, and dumped it in the nearest bin.

I had to fold my jeans up to above my ankle, I believe, I must have been a sight, as the first flight takes 7hrs 45 minutes, then 2 hours transit, before boarding the plane again for another 6 hours flight. I was praying that my feet will not get too cold on the plane.

Cupido and Farewell

My time to leave the kids, come yet again, it is tough juggling times between the people who mean the most in your life, however, a decision has to be made, so that I could spend quality time equally between them.

After a lot of problems getting my flight booked, I finally get confirmation to travel on the very day of my registered birthday. Since, my drama queen is home for the weekend, I decided to hold a small family lunch in conjunction of my birthday and farewell. We had dimsum, which was marvelous. My daughter in law who had just returned from Frankfurt distributed her buah tangan to the family, everyone was happy. But, I notice that she was not really in the mood to eat (worried, but I put it that she was still very tired), she was hardly touching her food (dia ni memang fussy with food). Will let you know her problems later *smile*

Then out of nowhere, my drama queen took this big plastic bag and gave it to me, it was a gift from her for my birthday, first condition, I must read the scroll that she had written for me that comes with the present. Honestly, I was not even reading the text properly, 99% of my mind was guessing what’s inside the bag. At last, I was allowed to open the bag, and, OMG, it was the CUPIDO, the cute thingy that I wanted so so much. Thank you darling, I love you.

After lunch, we decided to go to the warehouse sale hosted at the same hotel. Soooooo, many things to see, and of course more to buy, as usual the OCD behavior come on full speed. We look, we try, we consider, we calculate, repeated the whole ritual again, then we left. The girls wanted to go to the Curve on the way home, but I was tired already as I have not fully recovered yet. So, they dropped me home and off to Curve the 3 angels went.

By 1945 hours, I have to send my drama queen to KL Sentral as she has to go back to campus life. I am glad I spend quality time with all the kids including my daughter in law, who, emmmmm……… was not so well …. Hiks…… tunggu!!!!!!!

Young coconut water (Air kelapa muda)

A new entry to my blog has been delayed for about a week now. It is not that I have nothing to write, but because I was unable to do so due to reasons beyond my control.

For nearly a week, I was down with fever, as usual, I am one who self medicates as an easy way out. So it all started with fever, running nose and cough, my magic pills aka the super panadol normally will be better than any known surgeon. However, this time round, magic pills failed in the attempt to cure, I started to experience difficulty breathing in the night, thus hampering me from having 7 hours sleep. Things went uphill from there on, so, ok, to the hospital I must go.

On Wednesday evening, accompanied by my two angels, we went to Damansara Specialist at the A&E. Hemm, not many patience, this means short waiting time, they started with the routine of checking my blood pressure and temperature, then off to the doctor’s room. I didn’t like what I saw; I mean the doctor, what the heck with these people huh??!!! They wear no smiles, no hello or welcome, no nothing, they are so moronic, and yet they call themselves DOCTOR!!!!!
First question, what’s wrong with you??? Hello, I am the patience here, you tell me what’s wrong, isn’t that your work? Well, ok, so I have to tell this frumpy looking, fat, white haired, non smiling woman, who peeped at me and the girls from a glass that hardly sits on her nose. After like a total of 8 minutes checking, I was sent, accompanied by a very sweet kind nurse, to have my blood taken and also to take a first dose of the nebulizer (I hope I got that spelling right).

Was given like 6 kinds of medication to take, and off to home sweet home. So, you think I got better right? Wrong, I got worst, went for a second nebulizer and before the third one, I decided that I want to see the doctor again. This time round, it was a male doctor, kind of nice, tells you what’s wrong with you. And it turns out that I don’t need to take the nebulizer, what the heck???? He told me to continue with the medication though, but on top of that added another one, which he claimed will dry up my nose. Ok, trust you.

I took the medication while I was driving, can’t remember where we were going, but it was to KL from Damansara, on the way home, suddenly I saw stars, the weather was super hot then, it is kind of a mirage on the windshield, I asked my soon to be (InsyaAllah) doctor daughter, did you see a mirage like thingy on the glass?, answer no!, as I go on driving the vision was getting bad, I had to put on my hazard lights and stop by the road side in Damansara Heights. It was scary, damn it. She took the new medication box, read the leaflet inside, and discovered that there is a side effect to this medication, which was not preempted by the doctor. Idiot, again, why are you a doctor huh???

Enough is enough, arrived home, I decided to take things into my own hands, after all, I have seen too many documentaries, to know that what the doctor prescribes is not always the answer to your problems. I did what I was told since my younger age, minum air kelapa muda, honestly, that’s what I did and I stopped all the medication totally. Thank God, I feel a lot better, not totally up to my original state but much much better now.

Lake Garden and Capati

It had been a long time since I went for a morning walk, so when I was invited by a good friend, I decided, why not? The first morning was tough to get going, as not only I have to get up early, but I also have to drive to her place, pick her up, and then head to the garden.

For all my living life in Malaysia, I have never been to this garden, ok, I have been to the bird’s park and I have been to the Lake Club, but venturing into the Lake garden in total, no!!! This place is huge, really very nice and green, very well kept, then again, construction knows no mercy in Malaysia, and not even this wonderful garden was spared.
I notice that there’s a massive construction taking place in the garden, the area around the construction site becomes very muddy and mushy during rainy days. However, you can be assured of fresh air, beautiful chirping of the birds and good crowd of people. Again, this is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, anything is possible, in so many times that I have been there, I also discovered that the garden will be booked to host the company’s function. Sad, very sad, they will put on the music blasting loud; it just does not help, but ruin the serenity of the peaceful morning garden walk. I guess, wherever they can make a penny to be richer, they will, I wonder, how can we be a caring society when the people who are supposed to be showing us this, do not care at all.

After the morning walk, we will head to this tiny capati place for our breakfast. I swear to you that this is the best ever chapatti that I have eaten, the kids love it too. Honestly, I don’t know the name of the place; it is located in one of the back lanes of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman. The place is so small, that we have to share tables with strangers, no one minds as long as we get to eat the capati or roti canai. This little shop also serves wonderful chicken, fish and mutton curry, dhal and another chicken dish, one I stumble upon one morning, when we had to share the table with a stranger. Apparently, he could not finish the plate of chicken and offered to share it with us. I am not someone who accepts such offers easily, but it looked marvelous, may be next time, I will check out what it is.

I will be away for awhile and I hope the Lake garden’s construction will be completed by then, though, one thing for sure, the capati and roti canai in that back lane will always remain.
